The personal version isn’t the only one getting a makeover! Changes have been made to card_name, so if you have a small business, you’ll want to read on. The annual fee is jumping to annual_fees, but you can unlock thousands in business and travel value annually on the Business Platinum Card®. Here’s how:

I’m still deciding whether I’m going to keep this card. I don’t think the changes are as positive as the changes to the American Express Platinum Card®.
The $120 wireless credit, $200 Hilton statement credit and $600 hotel credit are benefits I can easily take advantage of each year. And I do enjoy American Express Centurion Lounge access (especially because my home airport is IAH), but no free guests for cardholders means I am not using the lounge as much as I used to. I do appreciate the 35% airline bonus option for my selected airline (United), but I don’t know if I’ll use it enough to justify the higher annual fee.
It currently feels like I’m just about breaking even on this card, so I am not sure if it’ll continue to have a place in my wallet. I need to whip out a calculator and my travel plans and do some serious math!
Don’t look at an annual_fees annual fee and think, “no way!” Look at the benefits and see if they will work for you. Each person’s circumstances are different, so you have to decide whether a card is worth it based on yours!
