Hawaii is one of the top destinations for using points and miles, and one of our very favorites. When it comes to Marriott points, there is no shortage of hotels in Hawaii to redeem them at! In this guide, we’ll show you all the many options you have for using points to book one of the great Marriott hotels in Hawaii with points. One thing to keep in mind and something I love about Marriott is when you redeem points for four nights you get a fifth night free! The thing that I don’t love is that you will have to pay resort fees and taxes when you book using Marriott points.
Redeem four nights, get the fifth night free when you redeem points for a consecutive five-night Marriott hotel. You can receive a fifth Reward Night free, redeemable at that same hotel during that same stay.
Before you can book a Marriott hotel in Hawaii, you first need to earn some points. There are some rules about which co-branded Marriott cards you can have at the same time from both banks that offer them, so be sure to read up on that before you dive in. For more information on Marriott cards and why we like these points, check out this post.
Now let’s get into some of the great Marriott hotel options in Hawaii!
The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani is a large hotel located near Waikiki Beach, in the heart of Waikiki. I saw rooms starting at 98,000 points per night.

The Courtyard by Marriott Oahu North Shore is located just steps away from the beach. It is located in Laie, near the Polynesian Cultural Center and BYU-Hawaii. Rooms start at about 60,000 points/night.

If I were going to Oahu, then Marriott’s Ko Olina Beach Club would be my top pick. I haven’t been there, but I have heard that it is great for families. The standard room is a one-bedroom villa with a separate living area that has a pull-out couch and a kitchen. The resort is near Disney Aulani and the Four Seasons, making the location great. And it’s not Waikiki, which might be a plus if you’re looking for something quieter. Rooms start at about 70,000 points per night.

Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort and Spa was recently renovated. It is also right across the street from the beach. Rooms start at around 54,000 points per night.

Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa
The Laylow Autograph Collection is a newer hotel in Waikiki. The hotel has a cool, modern vibe and is located around the corner from the beach. Rooms start at 55,000 points per night.

The Sheraton Waikiki is a large, upscale resort located right on the beach. It is a bustling place with lots of activities, nearby shopping, and restaurants. Rooms usually run between 70,000 to 90,000 points per night.

The Royal Hawaiian is known as the “Pink Palace of the Pacific” for its pink exterior. Known for its luxury and proximity to Waikiki Beach, it is a popular destination and a great pick if you want to stay in a Marriott hotel in Hawaii. It will normally cost you 70,000 to 90,000 points per night.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences Waikiki Beach doesn’t have traditional hotel rooms; it’s composed of residential studios and suites. Each has an ocean view. This hotel will cost about 115,000 to 130,000 points per night.

There are several Marriott hotels on Maui, and my mom and I have been to three of them. You can see what we thought about each one here.
The Courtyard by Marriott Kahului Airport, as the name suggests, is located near the airport. 56,000 to 70,000 points per night seems high for an airport hotel!

Courtyard Maui Kahului Airport
Maui Ocean Club Lahaina and Napili Towers is located on Ka’anapali Beach, close to Whaler’s Village for shopping and restaurants. Families enjoy having the fully equipped kitchenettes and children of all ages enjoy the huge outdoor pool with waterfalls, slides, and a grotto. I saw rooms starting at 85,000 points per night.

Maui Ocean Club
Residence Inn by Marriott Wailea is an all-suite hotel with close proximity to many golf courses and a great place for families. You can enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet here and then go shopping at The Shops at Wailea before hitting the beach. There were many rooms available from 70,000 to 90,000 points per night.

Residence Inn Maui Wailea
Wailea Beach Resort was renovated recently and has a modern, streamlined vibe. It is located in sunny Wailea, close to shopping, golf courses, restaurants, and is just a short walk to the beach. The pools are beautiful and the setting is breathtaking. This is my favorite place to stay in Maui. I usually save my annual 85K-point free-night certificates I earn from Marriott cards for this stay. I can usually find nights for 85K points but occassionally have to use points and top them off for up to 25K to make these stays happen.

The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort and Villas has studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom villas with kitchens, a washer and dryer, and loads of space, making it perfect for families. It is located close to many attractions and restaurants.

Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club Molokai, Maui, and Lanai Towers is located next to Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club – Lahaina & Napili Towers. They both share the same facilities including a fitness center and tennis courts. Both properties are part of Marriott’s timeshare program, Marriott Vacation Club.

Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa is located on 23 acres in Ka’anapali Beach, with most of the rooms having an ocean view. Known for its cliff dive ceremony at sunset, it is a popular hotel that also boasts a large lagoon-style pool. Here’s my review.

The Westin Maui Resort and Spa Ka’anapali is a luxury hotel resort in an area that is right in the middle of shopping, restaurants, and many attractions. There is a broad range of point redemptions from 75,000 to 120,000 points per night.

Ritz-Carlton Kapalua is located next to Fleming Beach, which is ideal for bodysurfing or boogie boarding. The stunning grounds and pool area will impress you, as well as the service that the Ritz is known for. Staying here is a luxury experience and gets a thumbs-up for using Marriott points! Most stays hover around 130,000 to 140,000 points per night.

The Sheraton Kauai Coconut Beach Resort is a newly renovated hotel and a great points value, as it costs about 70,000 to 75,000 points per night. It is located in Kapaa, with beachfront access, and is close to many main attractions in the area.

The Sheraton Kauai Resort is located in sunny Poipu along Poipu Beach.

Just two miles from the Lihue Airport, the Marriott Kaua’i Beach Club is still an oasis for relaxation. It has amazing bay views, a good beach, and five onsite restaurants. This property is part of Marriott’s Vacation Club timeshare program.

Kauai Marriott Beach Club
There is a ton of natural beauty to explore at Marriott’s Kauai Lagoons Kalanipu’u. This property is part of the Marriott Vacation Club timeshare program. The resort offers two- and three-bedroom villas and is great for families. Be sure to swim in the two-level pool it offers! I found nights starting at 78,000 points per night, but there was rare availability for stays in the next few months. Plan to book early.

Marriott Kauai Lagoons Kalanipu’u
Marriott Waiohai Beach Club is also part of the Marriott Vacation Club. The resort is located on the beach in Poipu. This is a great family resort and a great choice if you prefer the south side of Kauai. Enjoy their delicious pork nachos during your stay! It is one of our favorite Marriott hotels in Hawaii for points redemptions. Availability on points is a rare find.

Marriott Waiohai Beach Club
The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas is a vacation rental property located on Kauai’s gorgeous North Shore, near Anini Beach. At the resort, you will find four pools, three restaurants, and a 24-hour fitness center. Each room also has a kitchenette.

Koloa Landing Resort at Poipu specializes in luxury with studios and villas with kitchenettes. It is located close to the beach and offers a free shuttle service to destinations within five miles of the resort. We have stayed there and can vouch that it is worth using your points to stay at this Marriott hotel when you go to Hawaii. Expect to pay upwards of 100,000 points per night.

Koloa Landing Poipu
The Courtyard King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel, located in Kona, is the official headquarters of the IronMan World Championship. The hotel offers two on-property restaurants. Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday evening, there is also a luau at the resort. It is a reasonable redemption at about 60,000 points per night.

Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort and Spa is a beachfront property overlooking Anaeho’omalu Bay. Enjoy three pools (including a waterslide), golfing, and a sunset luau at this beautiful resort. I found standard award nights that ranged from 50,000 to 90,000 points per night.

The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort is located on the white sand of Hapuna Beach. The resort features a 6,800 square-foot family pool as well as an adults-only infinity pool overlooking the beach. At the resort, you will find a fitness studio as well as a CrossFit area. It offers a complimentary shuttle to its sister property, Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, where guests can enjoy room signing privileges at both properties. Rooms run in the 80,000 to 90,000 points per night range.

The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort
Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Autograph Collection is located on the Kohala Coast. Enjoy the white sand beach of Kauna’oa Bay. Enjoy snorkeling, paddleboarding, and swimming in the calm water. Take up a round of golf, play some tennis, or take a swim in one of the pools. Plan on spending around 100,000 points per night to stay at this hotel.

Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Autograph Collection
Marriott’s Waikoloa Ocean Club is part of Marriott’s Vacation Club and shares amenities and activities with the Marriott Waikoloa. The difference between the two resorts is the rooms. Waikoloa Ocean Club offers one- and two-bedroom villas with kitchenettes, while the Marriott Waikoloa offers standard hotel rooms. It can be hard to find availability when booking with points. I found rare availability at about 80,000 points per night.

Marriott Waikoloa Beach Club
If you want to use points to stay at a Marriott hotel in Hawaii, you have a lot of options! You can use many points for a luxury stay or fewer points for a cheaper one. Traveling off-peak and checking whether the price drops after you book your stay can also save you a lot of money. I always suggest booking four nights so you can get a fifth night free! Now for the hard part: which of these awesome resorts will you choose?!
