Pam
A recent trip to see Alex and her family ended on a travel high note. I was able to visit the new Delta Sky Club in Salt Lake City with my American Express Platinum Card. This card gives me so much value already and now, as a certified airport lounge geek, I have my perfect plan. For future visits, I will fly out on a United flight and visit the American Express Centurion Lounge in Denver. Flying back from SLC, I will fly Delta and use the Salt Lake City Delta Sky Club. Both are gorgeous and huge with tons of space for all and good food!
This lounge was completed as Salt Lake City opened up its new terminals. It is infinitely nicer than the old Delta Sky Club in Salt Lake City. The decor is gorgeous. There are a variety of seating areas, including specialized workstations. Secluded cubbies, eating table areas and seating with runway views offer something for everyone.

This gorgeous lounge can be accessed by the following cards:
You must have a same-day boarding pass for Delta travel to access. Unfortunately, it costs $50 to bring a guest in with you.
You can also access the lounge if you have a business or first-class ticket and are traveling internationally. It is possible to purchase a Delta Sky Club Membership but those are costly – $695. I would much prefer to use my Platinum card because it offers so many other benefits.

I saw two areas for food service. There was oatmeal, cereal, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, muffins, and pound cake. They even had a section of hot breakfast sandwiches. Orange juice, tea, and coffee were also available in multiple areas. Two full, very well-equipped bars were open, along with a soda area.
For lunch, there were sandwiches, wraps, pasta salad, a tortilla salad, veggies and dip, and a few other items, including nuts and trail mix. There are also several buffet-style hot options.

Showers are available in this lounge. The restrooms are really stylish – is that weird to say? But they are!!
There was a beautiful fireplace in the middle of one area that created a lovely ambiance. In total, it seemed there were six or seven large seating areas.
The lounge offers tv, magazines, and newspapers, charging stations, and so many seating areas! It is 28,000 sq. feet of gorgeousness and the largest Delta Sky Club thus far.
I had a great time visiting Alex and her family recently. I also really enjoyed visiting TWO new airport lounges. It is strangely exciting to me to know that I now have two beautiful lounges at my disposal when I travel from Denver to Salt Lake. There is nothing like feeling pampered before a flight, and the new Salt Lake City Delta Sky Club did a good job of giving me that feeling.
