Ever dream of visiting Prague? A city of spired rooftops, cobblestone streets, and fairytale charm? It’s not just a destination for history lovers, but also a surprisingly good city to redeem hotel loyalty points. While chain hotels are less dense here than in some other major European cities, the options that do exist offer excellent value, especially if you know when and where to look.
But first, when’s the best time of year to visit Prague? I mean, you can’t really go wrong since Prague is beautiful year-round, but certain seasons can make your points stretch even farther.
Winter brings magical Christmas markets, twinkling lights, and snow-dusted streets. It’s also when cash rates can skyrocket, especially near Old Town, making points redemptions incredibly valuable.
Spring offers great weather, lighter crowds, and some of the best award availability of the year. If you’re looking to maximize your points, this is prime time.
Summer is the peak travel season, which means higher cash rates and more tourists. Points can save you a ton, but you’ll want to book early to snag the best redemption rates.
Fall delivers perfect weather but is busier than normal. Cash prices tend to climb, so point redemptions can be highly valuable.
Every traveler wants something a little different from their experience, so read on for ten great hotels in Prague where your points can deliver even better value than you might expect.

If you caught the podcast episode where Jess talked about her trip to Prague, you probably remember how much she loved the Andaz, and it’s easy to see why. Sitting right in the heart of the city center, the Andaz Prague feels boutique and stylish while still offering the consistency and polish you expect from Hyatt. Updated rooms, thoughtful amenities, and a super walkable location make it a great points redemption, especially when cash rates run high.
As a category 6 property, rooms can be booked for as low as 21,000 points per night for a king room, or 36,000 points per night for a standard suite.

The Lindner Hotel Prague Castle, part of the JdV by Hyatt Collection, is an excellent point redemption in Prague thanks to its mix of comfort, convenience, and value. Being just steps away from Prague Castle and an easy walk to Old Town, it offers a quiet home base that’s still close to the city’s biggest sights.
The Lindner is a category 2 property, so award nights are usually around 8,000 points per night, with off-peak rates dropping as low as 6,500 points per night, which is a fantastic deal for a well-reviewed property in such a prime location. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly Hyatt option that doesn’t skimp on quality or amenities, the Lindner is hard to beat.

The Hilton Prague Old Town is a dependable points option if you want to stay right in the center of the action. It’s walkable to nearly all of Prague’s major sights, the rooms are comfortable, and Hilton’s dynamic pricing makes this a good value on slower travel dates. You’ll also enjoy amenities such as a gym, pool, and access to an executive lounge. If you’re loyal to Hilton or simply want a no-fuss, well-located base for exploring the city, this property checks all the right boxes.
Hilton uses dynamic pricing, so award rates may change; however, rooms can be booked for around 60,000 points per night. If you’re traveling in a less busy season, you might find better redemptions as low as 45,000 points per night.

Hilton Prague may not have the Old Town charm of some of the boutique hotels, but it makes up for it with spacious rooms, good amenities, and easy access to public transit. It’s a great redemption if you’re looking for a full-service hotel without burning a huge amount of Hilton points.
For around 45,000 points per night, the property’s larger layout and on-site facilities, such as restaurants and a pool, make this a practical choice for families. The location has really convenient transit connections and is a smart base for day trips to other parts of the Czech Republic beyond Prague.

The Prague Marriott delivers exactly what you’d expect from the Marriott brand. Just steps from Old Town, it offers convenient modern rooms and familiar Marriott touches. This property can be a smart way to use Marriott points when cash rates soar during peak seasons, giving you a solid points value without sacrificing comfort or location. With on-site dining, a well-equipped gym, and easy access to transit, it’s a great option if you want hassle-free convenience in the heart of the city.
Rooms fluctuate depending on the season, but 45,000 points per night is typical for a king or two-queen room.

Courtyard Prague City is a great choice if you want to keep things simple and make your points go further. It’s clean and quiet, with easy access to transit that gets you into the heart of Prague in just a few minutes. The neighborhood has plenty of local restaurants and shops, giving you a more “everyday Prague” feel compared to the tourist-heavy city center. It’s a great fit if you plan to spend your days exploring and want a comfortable place to unwind without the higher price tag.
Rooms can be booked for around 20,000 points per night, and since Marriott uses dynamic pricing, these prices will fluctuate depending on the time of year you’re traveling.

The Augustine is one of the most unique Marriott redemptions in Prague, an experience you won’t find anywhere else in the city. The hotel is inside a beautifully restored former monastery and is full of character and historic charm while still keeping the comfort you want from a luxury hotel. For a memorable stay for fewer points than you might expect, it’s a great choice! And because it’s a more upscale, one-of-a-kind property, it can also be a good use of a Marriott Nightly Upgrade Award for an even more special stay.

Photo from IHG.
The Holiday Inn Prague can be a good IHG points redemption if you want a comfortable stay outside the main tourist area while still being well-connected to the city. The property is located near the Vyšehrad fortress and just a few minutes from the metro, making it easy to reach Old Town. This hotel has larger rooms, a fitness center, and breakfast, making it a nice pick for families. With reasonable award pricing around 18,000 IHG points per night, it’s an easy way to stretch your IHG points.

Sir Prague, a Design Hotels member by Marriott, is a great pick if you want something stylish, intimate, and a little different from the typical chain experience. The hotel is the perfect mix of modern and local character, making this property feel really special. The central location puts you close to Old Town while still giving you a quieter retreat at the end of the day.
For as low as 44,000 Marriott points per night, you can enjoy boutique-hotel vibes without the boutique-hotel price tag.

The W Prague is perfect if you like your hotel stay to have a little personality. The design is bold but not over the top, and the lively common spaces make it a fun place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. It’s also one of the trendier, but typically pricier options in the city, so using Marriott points can take the edge off an otherwise steep cash rate. With a great location and fun modern rooms, it’s a great choice if you want a more vibrant take on Prague.
I found rooms for as low as 56,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night, but these rates do fluctuate depending on the time of year you’ll be visiting, so it’s best to plan and book in advance.

Prague is one of those cities where the points-to-cash value can swing wildly depending on the season.
As a good rule of thumb, use points when:
You may want to consider saving those hard-earned points when:
Prague offers an impressive mix of hotel loyalty redemption options, from boutique stays full of local charm to the reliable comfort of well-known brands. If you’re chasing a dream stay at the Andaz or looking at a more classic Marriott near Prague Castle, you’ll have no shortage of ways to stretch your points. With so many great options, the real challenge isn’t finding a good redemption but deciding which one to book first!
