Expired: United Rolls Out Cardholder-Only Award Flight Deals for Chase United Cardholders

Toni Perkins-Southam

United Airlines has launched a limited-time series of award flight deals for Chase-issued United credit cardholders, offering discounted MileagePlus redemptions (rather than cash fares). Each deal runs for a short window and applies to a specific destination, with offers rotating throughout the week and changing as the promotion unfolds.

Instead of a single systemwide award sale, United plans to release deals one destination at a time. The airline hasn’t published a set schedule for new offers, so deals can appear at different points during the week—an approach that favors travelers who rely on miles, track award pricing closely and have flexible plans.

Today’s Deal Highlight—U.S. to Amsterdam(AMS)

Updated Jan. 9, 2026

United’s current offer includes discounted MileagePlus award flights between the mainland U.S. and Amsterdam(AMS), available exclusively to eligible Chase-issued United credit cardholders.

Round-trip taxes and government-imposed fees start at $120.23.

*The booking window for this deal closes late on January 9, 2026.

Short on miles? United allows MileagePlus members to pool miles with friends or family, which can help cover an award booking faster.

How This Current Award Promotion Works

Additional destinations should rotate in as the week continues.

While destinations change, the rules stay consistent.

The promotion covers new MileagePlus award tickets and limits access to eligible Chase-issued United credit cardholders. United controls award availability and may adjust pricing without notice. Cardholders can redeem multiple tickets during the promotion window.

Key terms to know:

  • Travel window: January 12 to May 7, 2026
  • Ticketing deadline: January 9, 2026
  • Cabin: Economy class
  • Eligible flights: United and United Express–operated flights, including select regional and codeshare partners
  • Advance purchase: None required
  • Stay requirements: No minimum or maximum stay

Who’s Eligible for These Award Discounts

Only primary cardholders of Chase-issued United MileagePlus credit cards qualify for this promotion. Cardholders must sign in to the MileagePlus account associated with their eligible card to redeem discounted awards.

Taxes, fees, and surcharges still apply. Travelers must cover all required charges at ticketing, including U.S. and international government-imposed fees. Those costs vary by route and exchange rate.

What You Should Know

For many travelers, the real value here comes from how these discounts compare to standard MileagePlus pricing. United no longer publishes fixed award charts, which makes it harder to determine when a redemption is genuinely good. A targeted discount like this provides a clearer signal that pricing has been temporarily lowered, even if availability remains limited.

That doesn’t mean every deal will be a slam dunk, but it does give cardholders a narrower window where award pricing may be more competitive than usual.

The Bottom Line

This limited-time promotion offers MileagePlus cardholders rotating award discounts on select routes. While the Amsterdam  deal is winding down, United is expected to introduce additional destinations as the week continues. Check back on this post to see further deals!

Travelers with United miles and an eligible Chase-issued United credit card may want to keep an eye on upcoming offers. In a landscape where award prices often rise quietly, short-term discounts like these can provide a rare chance to stretch miles a bit further.
