American Airlines Offers 10,000 Miles for Business Account Signup

Toni Perkins-Southam

American Airlines is offering a relatively easy way to pick up 10,000 AAdvantage miles just for enrolling in its business loyalty program.

While there are a few eligibility details to keep in mind, this is still one of the simpler bonus opportunities we’ve seen lately.

The Offer

New members who enroll in the AAdvantage Business program and use promo code BNS10K can earn 10,000 bonus miles. The offer is available through Dec. 31, 2026.

There’s no minimum spending requirement just to earn the bonus, which makes this an easy add if you qualify.

What To Know Before Signing Up

With the business loyalty program, there are a few requirements tied to redeeming your miles.

To unlock and use the bonus, accounts need to:

  • Have at least five active travelers
  • Reach $5,000 in eligible American Airlines spend within a calendar year

These thresholds are designed with larger or more active businesses in mind, so they may not be a fit for everyone.

There is one notable exception: those requirements are waived if you hold the Citi® / AAdvantage Business™ World Elite Mastercard®.

How To Actually Use This Offer

If you already have (or are considering) the Citi business card, this offer becomes much more compelling.

The card frequently comes with a sizable welcome bonus, and opening an AAdvantage Business account beforehand lets you stack it on top. That means you could pick up an additional 10,000 miles with minimal extra effort.

Is 10,000 Miles Even Worth It?

10,000 American Airlines miles might not sound like much, but they can be enough for a flight, not just a small discount. On lower-priced dates, you can find one-way awards for under that amount. For example, I found a route from O’Hare International Airport to San Jose for just 9,000 miles.

Availability will vary, but it’s a good reminder that even a relatively small bonus can go a long way if you’re flexible.

Bottom Line

This isn’t a no-strings-attached bonus, but it’s still an easy opportunity for the right situation.

If you’re able to meet the eligibility requirements, or bypass them with the right card, it’s a straightforward way to add 10,000 AAdvantage miles to your balance.
