Hawaii is one of my very favorite travel destinations. It is expensive, but thanks to credit card points and miles, I have been able to return year after year for next to nothing. We’ve previously shared how to use Marriott points to stay in Hawaii as well as Hyatt points. Today, we will show you how to book stays at Hilton hotels in Hawaii with points. There are some really great Hilton hotels on the Hawaiian islands. In this post, we’ll go over all of those hotels, how much they cost, and how you can get points to stay for free. There are a couple of things I really like about Hilton. First, they don’t charge resort fees on award stays, and second, you get the fifth night free!

Redeem four nights, get the fifth night free when you redeem points for a consecutive five-night Hilton hotel. You can receive a fifth Reward Night free, redeemable at that same hotel during that same stay

 

How to Earn Hilton Points

There are four Hilton credit cards. They are all issued by American Express®. Each of these cards will help you earn Hilton Honors points.

 

Hilton Award Chart

Hilton actually doesn’t have an award chart. Over the years, Hilton has undergone numerous devaluations, making a stay at a luxury Hilton very expensive using points. Luckily, some welcome offers on Hilton cards can be quite high, and sometimes they also include a free-night certificate, which can make award stays more doable.

The American Express Hilton Honors Aspire offers an annual free-night certificate, which can be used at virtually any Hilton Hotel. That is primarily how I book those luxury stays now.

Hilton Hotels on Oahu

There are nine Hilton hotels on the island of Oahu, five Hilton Grand Vacations properties, and a new hotel opening up in Fall of 2026.

 

Hilton Waikiki Beach

Hilton Waikiki Beach ranges from 65,000 points per night for a standard room. The beach is just a block away from the hotel. International Marketplace, Honolulu Zoo, and Kapiolani Park are also nearby.  

 

 

Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach

The Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach has award nights available for 65,000 points per night. This hotel is two blocks from the beach. It has a rooftop pool and a fitness center.

 

 

Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach Walk

The cost per night at the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk costs about 90,000 points per night. This is a great choice for families. Each room has a separate living area with a sofa bed. Breakfast is also included when you stay here. At just one block from the beach, the location is great.

 

 

 

DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Alana-Waikiki Beach

You can expect to pay 60,000 Hilton Honors points for each night at the DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Alana-Waikiki Beach. The hotel is located on the edge of Waikiki, within a mile of Waikiki Beach, Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon, and the Ala Moana Center. Enjoy the famous DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie upon check-in.

 

 

 

Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort

The Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort will run you 77,000 points per night. This resort covers some 22 acres. It is located on the beach and features its own lagoon. While here, you can enjoy the Mandara Spa, any one of the five swimming pools, and a variety of dining options.

 

 

The Ambassador Hotel of Waikiki, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

The Ambassador Hotel of Waikiki, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is an affordable stay, starting at 65,000 points per night. Minutes from Waikiki beach, the location couldn’t be better.

 

 

Hampton Inn and Suites Oahu/Kapolei

A night at the Hampton Inn & Suites Oahu/Kapolei will cost 70,000 points per night at the lowest rate. This Hilton hotel is located in Ka Makana Ali’i shopping center, 10 minutes from the University of Hawaii – West Oahu and 15 minutes from Ko Olina Lagoons and Beach Park. Enjoy a hot, free breakfast each morning during your stay.

 

 

Ka La’i Waikiki Beach, LXR Hotels & Resorts

The Ka La’i Waikiki Beach, LXR Hotels & Resorts is steps from Waikiki Beach. Starting at 100,000 points a night, it isn’t a cheap stay, but it looks really nice. Let us know if you ever book this one!

 

 

Embassy Suites By Hilton Oahu Kapolei

The Embassy Suites By Hilton Oahu Kapolei starts at 55,000 points per night. The hotel is a mile from Wet ‘n’ Wild Hawaii and 20 minutes from Pearl Harbor. They offer a free shuttle to White Plains Beach and other area beaches. You will find two onsite restaurants and can enjoy a free cooked-to-order breakfast each morning.

 

 

 

Hilton Grand Vacations

In addition to these hotels, there are five Hilton Grand Vacations properties where you can use your points. There is the Grand Waikikian, Hilton Grand Vacations at Hilton Hawaiian Village, The Grand Islander, Hokulani Waikiki, and the Hilton Vacation Club, The Modern Honolulu.

You will need to search on the Hilton website for specific dates. The Grand Vacations properties generally run quite high.

 

 

Hilton Hotels on Maui

There are two options for staying at a Hilton hotel on Maui. A third is scheduled to open soon. Additionally, there are two Hilton Vacation Clubs.

Hampton Inn & Suites Maui North Shore

At just 60,000 points per night, this is a great option for families. Enjoy ocean-view rooms, an oceanfront pool, and airport shuttle service. This could make a vacation cheaper if you don’t want to rent a car.

 

 

Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

Grand Wailea is a beautiful resort. As such, you can expect to pay 110,000 points per night to stay here. The resort is located right on Wailea Beach. I have stayed next door at the Marriott Wailea Beach Resort, and I can’t explain to you just how gorgeous this area is! This resort can have very high cash prices; it is never cheap! This is a luxury resort. As such, using your points or an annual free night certificate to visit this Hilton hotel in Hawaii is a great idea.

 

 

Ho’olei at Grand Wailea

If you hit the Hilton lottery, then you may want to check out the Ho’olei at Grand Wailea. Last I checked, nights were about 600,000 each! Accommodations here are 2-story, 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom townhomes.

 

 

 

Hilton Hotels on Kauai

There are two Hilton hotels on Kauai, with the Hale Hokuala Kauai, Curio Collection by Hilton scheduled to open in the fall of 2026.

 

Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay

Located near Lihue airport is the Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay. A night here will cost you about 55,000 Hilton Honors points per night. At the hotel, you will find two pools, a restaurant, and a poolside bar. The property is located in Kapaa, next to Lydgate Beach Park and within walking distance of Wailua Bay. 

 

 

Hilton Vacation Club The Point at Poipu Kauai

A luxury stay can be found in Poipu at the Hilton Vacation Club, but it will cost you a ton of points, starting at 290,000 points per night. While a great stay, that is exorbitant!

 

 

Hilton Hotels on the Big Island

There are two Hilton hotels on the Big Island of Hawaii and three Hilton Grand Vacations properties. The Hampton Inn by Hilton Kailua-Kona Bay is set to open in the fall of 2026.

 

Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo – a DoubleTree by Hilton

The Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo is located 10 minutes from Hilo International Airport and offers panoramic tropical views. It starts at 55,000 points per night.

 

 

Hilton Waikoloa Village

To stay at the Hilton Waikoloa Village, you are looking at using about 75,000 points per night.  This is a very large resort, covering 63 acres! Luckily, they have air-conditioned trams to transport you around the resort. During your stay, you can enjoy the three pools, tennis courts, two golf courses, and more!

 

 

 

Hilton Grand Vacations

In addition to the Hilton Waikoloa Village, there are three Hilton Grand Vacations properties you can use your points at. There is Ocean Tower, Kohala Suites, and Kings’ Land.  You will need to search on the Hilton website for specific dates. These range from 122,000 to 216,000 points a night, making a free-night certificate a great use.

 

Bottom Line

There are some really great options for Hilton Hotels in Hawaii. You can use your points for luxury or save and stay in more standard accommodations. Whatever your preference, there is a Hilton in Hawaii for you!
