If you’ve been thinking about adding a Marriott card to your wallet, now is a great time to take a look at the current offers on the Marriott Bonvoy Bold® and Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® cards from Chase. While both cards can help you earn Marriott points and elite night credits, they are designed for very different travelers.
The Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card is Marriott’s no-annual-fee option and currently offers 60,000 bonus points after meeting the minimum spending requirement. While that isn’t the largest hotel card welcome offer we’ve seen, it can still earn enough points for a free night at a lower-category Marriott property. The Bold card also comes with 5 elite night credits each year, helping cardholders work toward Marriott elite status without paying an annual fee.
All information about the Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card has been collected independently by Points Talk Squad. The Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card is no longer available through Points Talk Squad.
The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Card has a compelling new welcome offer that is worth a closer look for anyone interested in building a stash of hotel points. New cardholders can earn 125,000 Marriott Bonvoy points, one free-night award worth up to 50,000 points, and up to $100 in airline credits after meeting the minimum spend in the first three months.
The 125,000-point bonus alone can go a long way toward free hotel stays, whether you’re looking at a family road trip, a beach vacation, or an international getaway. On top of that, the free-night award can be used at properties costing up to 50,000 points per night, and Marriott allows you to add points from your account to book more expensive stays. Depending on how you redeem it, that single certificate could easily be worth several hundred dollars.
One of the most valuable additions to the current offer would seem to be the up to $100 in airline credits. This benefit is earned through statement credits on purchases made directly with airlines using your Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card. Cardholders can earn a $50 statement credit after spending $250 directly with airlines between June 4 and December 31, 2026, and then earn another $50 statement credit after spending $250 directly with airlines between January 1 and June 30, 2027. In total, that’s up to $100 back on airline purchases. This makes sense only if you pay for some of your flights versus using points or miles. For me, that $50 credit isn’t worth losing the travel protection other cards offer, so this isn’t appealing at all.
Beyond the welcome bonus, the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® remains one of our keeper hotel cards for its ongoing benefits. Cardholders receive 15 Elite Night Credits each year and an annual free-night award after renewal (for a free night worth up to 35,000 points), which often more than offsets the card’s $95 annual fee. For travelers who stay at Marriott properties even once or twice a year, that anniversary night alone can make it worthwhile to keep the card.
If you’re considering a Marriott card, the current Boundless offer is significantly more attractive than the no-annual-fee Bold card. Between the large points bonus, the free-night award, the airline credits, and the long-term benefits, this offer can help jump-start your Marriott balance and maybe end up a keeper card in your wallet, like it is in mine.
