One of my “have to” purchases is gas and we spend a lot of money fueling the cars in our household. If we have to pay a lot to use our cars, let’s at least get rewarded for it! Here are some of the best credit cards to use when paying for gas.
The Citi Strata Premier℠ Card is a transferable points card that earns ThankYou® Points. We love transferable points. This is one of the best credit cards for gas as it earns a whopping three points per dollar spent. There are lots of great ways to use ThankYou® Points.
The card_name is one of our favorite cards for many reasons. This card and the card_name earn two miles for each dollar spent on eligible purchases, making it a no-brainer to use for many everyday spending—including gas.

The Venture cards earn 2x miles per dollar spent on ALL purchases, including gas.
The card_name is a good option at U.S. gas stations if you’re a big Hilton fan. If you want more Hilton points, you will earn six points per dollar spent when you buy gasoline at U.S. gas stations. Keep in mind, Hilton points aren’t valued as highly as other points, but if you love Hilton, this could be a good option. Terms apply.
The card_name is one of our favorite business cards. It earns 2% cash back on the first $25,000 spent across combined purchases at gas stations and restaurants, making it a better credit card than many others. This no-annual-fee card earns Ultimate Rewards® when you pair it with the right Chase card, and, as you know, Ultimate Rewards® is one of our favorite points currencies. Give me more points to transfer for my Hyatt stays!

Earning points at the gas station can help me stay at a Park Hyatt!
Another surprising card that is good for gas purchases is the card_name. Earning five points per dollar spent at gas stations, it can help you get that next IHG stay.
The card_name also earns five points per dollar spent at the gas pump. This is a business card, and since business cards don’t count against your 5/24, we really like it.
No one is enjoying paying high gas prices at the gas station these days. You can soften the blow a tiny bit by using one of these best credit cards for gas. We have to pay for it anyway, let’s get rewarded for it!
