Pam
One of our favorite resorts is the Kimpton Grand Roatán, and I recently rebooked it for a third visit. Even better, I stacked some credits for the win!
I originally hadn’t planned to book this trip (what’s new?), but my husband was going fishing in Argentina (his flights are booked with points and miles, of course), and I don’t like staying home alone, so I thought, “Let’s go to Roatán!” I mean, why not? I asked which of my daughters could go, and two of them said that they could, so I started planning.

Kimpton Grand Roatán is a favorite stay for me.
I have a lot of IHG points, so that was a definite option. The “book three nights and get the fourth night free” option is a great deal I get as an IHG cardholder. I was originally going to do that.
Redeem three nights, get the fourth night free when you redeem points for a consecutive four-night IHG® hotel stay. You can receive a fourth Reward Night free, redeemable at that same hotel during that same stay.
Then I remembered that I have The Edit by Chase Travel℠ option on my Chase Sapphire Reserve® and Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ cards. I also have this new credit:
What if I could stack them? But wait, I also had a Chase offer for $100 off a $600 stay on an IHG stay. Let’s do a stack with that too!
First, I logged into my Chase Sapphire Reserve® account and went into Chase Travel℠ , where I could see my credits. I then checked the hotels and found the Kimpton Roatan available for my dates, and I selected two days.

I then booked those two nights using my card. I made sure the total was over $600 to trigger the $100 Chase offer, as well as the Edit credit and the Chase Travel℠ select hotels credit.

It took a couple of days for my credits to show up.

Two credits were immediate.

The credit from my Chase Offer appeared a couple of days later.
I added two more nights to my stay and used my Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ card to book them.

Here is the credit from this redemption:

I booked four nights at the Kimpton Grand Roatán and applied credits to pay for them. The total cash price would have been $2,400, and I redeemed 64,000 Ultimate Rewards® points for four nights, paying less than $60.00 in cash. The Edit credits will give me a $100 hotel credit, a possible room upgrade, and complimentary breakfast for two people. Overall, this stack was a great deal!

How do you combine the reservations and not switch rooms? 🙂
Contact the hotel and ask them to combine them. I’ve never had a problem.
