Admirals Club Lounge Miami Review

Pam

I hadn’t been in an American Airlines Admirals Club® lounge in, like, forever—but this week, I’ve been in the same one twice! Going to and coming back from St. Kitts, my daughter Kasey and I flew American Airlines for at least part of each trip, and thanks to my newly acquired Citi Strata Elite℠ Card, I checked it out. The Citi Strata Elite℠ Card gives four Admirals Club passes as part of their credits, so we used two on this trip.

First Impressions

On our flight to St. Kitts, we arrived at the lounge at about 9:00 in the morning. It was so busy that we had a short wait to get through the doors. We were also there at about 8:00 pm on a Thursday night, and it was packed on our return flight. I wouldn’t say it’s gorgeous, but there are plenty of seats and charging stations.

There are also several areas with food, showers, and even an area where you can get made-to-order area for food. (More on that later.)

Guac bar in the afternoon, waffle bar in the morning.

Food and Beverages

This is where the lounge shines, particularly for dinner. We had some of the best food that I’ve had in an airport lounge. Both Kasey and I kept talking about how good it was. Honey sesame chicken, pineapple rice (yum), several salads, sandwich makings, soups, and several desserts. The made-to-order food area when we were there had guacamole and chips at night and waffles with all the toppings in the morning.

Dessert selection.

The full-service bar area seemed popular, with many interesting drinks being made.

People generally like Admirals Club lounges because they are solid and dependable. This one wasn’t flashy or spa-like, but it was comfortable, practical, and had really good food.

The food wasn’t fancy at all, but it was good!

My Thoughts

I am really excited about having more passes, as I enjoyed my two-hour visits to the Admirals Club lounge in Miami. I just hope that the food in the other lounges is as good as it was in this one.
