If you collect Alaska Atmos Rewards points (as should you be!), here’s one promotion worth keeping on your radar. Alaska Airlines has released its latest batch of Alaska Atmos Rewards Global Getaways, which offers discounted award flights to a rotating list of destinations around the world. If you’re familiar with Flying Blue Promo Rewards, it’s basically the same idea: Each month brings a fresh set of discounted award opportunities.
The featured routes change every month, so even if this month’s deals don’t fit your travel plans, next month’s might. Here’s a look at August’s offers, how long you have to book them, and how the promotion works.
This Month’s Alaska Atmos Rewards Global Getaways
This month’s Global Getaways include discounted award flights to: Budapest, Edinburgh, Hong Kong, Madrid, Nadi, Osaka, Papeete, Rome and Sydney.
The deals are only available for a limited time. Bookings end Aug. 8.

Alaska opened this month’s Global Getaways on Aug. 4, and the promotion runs through Aug. 8. That short booking window is typical of Global Getaways — which means you shouldn’t expect these discounts to stick around for very long. Once the promotion ends, Alaska will refresh the featured destinations and pricing with next month’s release.
How Alaska Atmos Rewards Global Getaways Work
Booking a Global Getaway works just like booking any other Alaska Atmos Rewards award. Simply sign in to your Alaska account, search for award travel to one of the featured destinations and look for the promotional pricing during the booking window.

Are Alaska Global Getaways Worth It?
If one of the featured destinations matches your travel plans, these promotions can offer some pretty excellent value by reducing the number of miles needed for international travel.
