Pam
I just renewed my card_name with a annual_fees annual fee. It is definitely worth paying that fee the first year for the Marriott Bonvoy points that come from earning your welcome offer. I’m past the point of earning those welcome-offer points, and yet I still renew this card year after year. Am I crazy? I don’t think so. Here is how I find value with this card:
Terms apply. Enrollment is required for select benefits.
All information about this card has been collected independently by pointstalksquad.com
When I use my Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card for dining out, I benefit from a credit that effectively reduces my annual fee. You will get up to $25 in restaurant credit each month when you use your card for eating out at restaurants worldwide. Terms apply.
Each year, after I pay my annual fee, I get an annual free-night certificate that can be used at a Marriott hotel that costs 85K points per night or less. This year, I used my certificate to stay at the Wailea Beach Resort on the beautiful island of Maui. The cash price of this hotel was almost $1,000 a night! It is easy for me to use it in a hotel with a value of $500 or more a night, so that makes total sense for me to keep renewing this card. I’ll stay at a fancy Marriott hotel at a deeply discounted rate over and over again! Terms apply.

As you can see, even without the additional benefits listed above, the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card is worth my annual fee. You can only get each American Express card once in a lifetime, so I won’t be earning the welcome offer again. Nevertheless, I do not see myself ever not renewing this card, as I get well over $1,000 of value from it each year. Check out our post on all the other Marriott credit cards!
