The Edit by Chase Travel℠ is a credit card benefit of the card_name and card_name.  The Edit includes over 1,000 hotels and resorts worldwide. Both cards come with a total annual credit of $500 for stays of at least two consecutive nights at The Edit properties.

You can use both $250 credits any time during the year, but you can’t use them on back-to-back stays. Please note that back-to-back stays at the same property within 24 hours of checkout are considered a single stay—only the first stay is eligible for The Edit program benefits. See this link for more details.

These credits seem very similar to the Fine Hotels + Resorts® credits, which I have found easy to use, so I’m confident these credits will be beneficial. The one disappointing difference is that Fine Hotels + Resorts® lets you stay one night and earn the credit, whereas The Edit requires a two-night stay.

The Edit Perks

Unlike booking direct or through Chase Travel℠ alone, The Edit adds a layer of premium perks to your stay. Every booking comes with benefits like:

• Daily breakfast for two

• A $100 property credit (often for dining or spa services)

• Room upgrades when available

• Early check-in and late check-out (subject to availability)

• Complimentary Wi-Fi

• Welcome amenity

Note: The exact value of these benefits can vary based on usage and availability.

Again, card_name and card_name cardholders receive up to $500 in statement credits each year ($250 to be used for two separate booking transactions) when booking prepaid stays of two nights or more through The Edit. That’s a real offset against the card’s annual fee.

 

How to Book The Edit

1. Log in to Chase

• Go to Chase.com or open the Chase Mobile app.

• Log in with your credentials and go to your Chase Sapphire Reserve® or Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ account. 

2. Open the Chase Travel Portal

• From the main menu, select “Benefits & travel” and then “Travel.”

• This takes you to Chase Travel℠.

3. Search for Your Destination

• Enter your city, dates, and number of guests.

• Click “Find Hotels.”

• The Edit section should show at the top if there are The Edit hotels in your destination.

4. Review the Hotel Benefits

• Click a hotel listing marked “The Edit.”

• Scroll down to the “The Edit Benefits” section.

• Check the fine print:

  • The $100 credit is once per stay.

  • Breakfast may be served as a set menu, buffet, or provided as a daily credit, depending on the hotel.

6. Choose Room & Payment

• Select your room type and confirm the rate.

• On the payment page, pay with one of the Reserve cards.

Real-Life Example

Remember, you have to book through Chase Travel℠ and use your Chase Sapphire Reserve® or Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ to pay for the stay. I’m considering a hotel I’d like to stay at for a staycation: the Thompson Denver. Let’s use my Edit credit instead of Hyatt points.

Let’s review the value and break it down in more detail. As a Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholder, booking through The Edit entitles you to the following benefits at this hotel:

The total cash cost is $780, less the $250 Edit credit, for $530 for two nights, or $265 per night. Add breakfast for two for two days (value of at least $100) and the $100 property credit, and it comes down to $330 for two nights—a great deal!  All of this is without even considering free wifi and a possible upgrade.

Note that two nights at this hotel on these dates would require 40,000 Hyatt points booked directly with Hyatt, so this is a great alternative if you want to save your points for a different stay.

The Kimpton would be only $410 after factoring $100 (approximately) for breakfast and the $250 Edit credit. Add the $100 property credit, and the total comes to just $310, making it a solid deal.

 

Another Way to Book

You can combine the The Edit credit with points to have another booking option. Let’s check out my stay at the Kimpton above. Here’s the cost with just points:

 

 

But I can start lowering the points cost and pay with that $250 Edit credit, which will be credited back to me. I love this way of using both methods for a win-win for me!

 

 

This hotel usually runs 37K+ IHG points a night to book, so this is a great value. Instead of paying 74K+ points for a two-night stay, you can pay 29,000 with the Edit credit and Points Boost!

 

 

Another Related Benefit for 2026

For 2026,  Chase Sapphire Reserve® and Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ cardholders will be able to take advantage of an additional $250 credit for bookings of two nights or more at select hotel properties through Chase Travel℠, including IHG^® Hotels & Resorts, Montage Hotels & Resorts, Pendry Hotels & Resorts, Omni Hotels & Resorts, Virgin Hotels, Minor Hotels, and Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts. While we don’t know yet whether this $250 credit will be able to be used in conjunction with the The Edit credits on the same stay, it’s another benefit to keep in mind when you’re thinking about how to get the most value out of all your hotel credits.

 

Bottom Line

Rates booking hotels through The Edit can sometimes be higher than booking directly with the hotels themselves, so it’s a good idea to compare prices. But in my examples, the prices were the same or better because of Points Boost. And while perks like upgrades and early check-in are great, they’re not guaranteed.
