There is no place on Earth quite like New York City. The famous concrete jungle is the epicenter of all things show business, food, art, history, shopping, and experiences. With so much to do and see, every visit can feel like your first.
I love NYC because there are endless options for booking your stay using points and miles, which makes it unique compared to many other destinations.
I’m sharing our favorite hotel stays bookable through each of the major credit card banks. Follow me down the rabbit hole of well-known and underrated point stay options in New York City.
It’s no secret that our favorite points come from Chase, especially since they transfer to our favorite hotel program, World of Hyatt. Here are some of the best World of Hyatt hotels you can book with your Chase Ultimate Rewards®.

To say the Andaz has a prime location is an understatement. Located on iconic Fifth Avenue, this is the perfect spot for anyone planning serious shopping. The hotel is as comfortable as it is luxurious, and you really can’t go wrong booking your stay here.

Perfect for couples wanting to soak up all the romance NYC has to offer. You’re minutes from Central Park, world-class museums, and exceptional food. The Thompson feels like the backdrop of a movie-worthy New York stay. After the Park Hyatt, it is Pam’s favorite stay in NYC.

Ideal for families or couples who want to be in the middle of it all. Times Square is arguably the most well-known area in NYC and the heart of Broadway. This Hyatt is also one of the most centrally located, making it easy to explore the city in every direction. The hotel itself is quirky, cozy, and fun.

This hotel is packed with boutique charm, cozy upscale vibes, and fantastic service. You’ll feel transported to the golden age of NYC with its old-world elegance. Located in Chinatown, Hotel 50 Bowery is perfect for a truly unique stay.

Enjoy comfortable rooms with vintage charm in this gorgeous Beaux Arts building near Madison Square Park. Marble baths, sleek furnishings, and pops of color make this a delightful retreat, and the great location means you’ll be close to everything.

The Beekman
(Category 6 | 21,000 to 29,000 points per night)
Step back in time and enjoy elegant luxury away from the nonstop hustle of modern NYC. Located in Lower Manhattan, this hotel is perfect for business travelers or those wanting easy access to the 9/11 Memorial, the Statue of Liberty, and Wall Street.

When you use American Express Membership Rewards® for hotel stays, you can transfer to both Marriott and Hilton. You’ll also be able to book to Small Luxury Hotels of the World stays through Hilton. The downside is that Hilton (including SLH) and Marriott award bookings often require a substantial number of points.
The best time to book hotels with Membership Rewards® is during a transfer bonus, which helps your points go further.
Conrad Hilton Central Park

Located just steps from Central Park, this all-suite hotel is a premier choice for travelers seeking luxury and space. With Broadway and Fifth Avenue shopping nearby, it’s perfect for a high-end Midtown experience.

Homewood Suites Midtown
(50,000 to 130,000 points per night)

Motto by Hilton Chelsea
(57,000 to 100,000 points per night)
This micro-hotel is often underrated because of its intentionally compact rooms, but it delivers a sleek, modern retreat with stunning skyline views. Perfect for travelers who want to experience NYC like a local and avoid tourist-heavy areas.

Hilton Garden Inn Tribeca
(30,000 to 95,000 points per night)
Don’t let the “Garden Inn” name fool you. This location is a hidden gem in one of the city’s most exclusive neighborhoods. The rooms are surprisingly spacious and have everything you need to feel at home.

Marriott has a massive footprint worldwide. One of the biggest perks is that you can transfer points from both Chase and American Express, making these properties easier to book if you earn across multiple programs. A few times each year, Marriott offers transfer bonuses from both banks. The transfer bonus rates can vary, but some recent examples are a 70% bonus with Chase and a 30% bonus with American Express.
Ritz-Carlton NYC NoMad
(84,000 to 150,000 points per night)
This awe-inspiring property towers above Manhattan’s trendiest neighborhoods with incredible, unobstructed city views. If extreme luxury is what you’re after, the Ritz-Carlton delivers and will absolutely make you feel like royalty.

Located in the historic Metropolitan Life Clock Tower, this hotel offers sleek, modern luxury overlooking Madison Square Park. Its Flatiron District location makes it perfect for exploring SoHo, Chelsea, and Gramercy Park.

Westin Grand Central
(40,000 to 90,000 points per night)
This forty-story hotel is underrated for its ability to feel like a calm oasis amid the hustle and bustle. It’s far enough from Times Square to avoid crowds but only steps from Grand Central Station—bonus points for the signature Heavenly Beds.

AC Hotel Times Square
(35,000 to 85,000 points per night)
Often overlooked, this hotel offers a sleek, modern escape in one of the city’s loudest neighborhoods. It’s perfect for travelers who want to be close to the action but still enjoy peace and quiet when it’s time to recharge.

If you love Wyndham and Choice Hotels, you’re in luck. Both chains have booking options throughout New York City. Like Marriott properties, these can be booked by transferring points from both Citi and Capital One, making them ideal for travelers with diversified point balances.
Wingate by Wyndham Midtown
(30,000 to 60,000 points per night)
Located steps from the Empire State Building, this hotel is a fantastic option for travelers who prioritize location. Rooms are modern and clean, and the included continental breakfast adds extra value.

The Beekman Tower
(30,000 points to 60,000 per night)
This iconic Art Deco property in Turtle Bay offers apartment-style rooms, many with kitchens. It’s a rare luxury in Manhattan and an excellent choice for families for longer stays.

Cambria Hotel Chelsea
(45,000 to 70,000 points per night)
A modern, comfortable home base in the heart of the Flower District. It’s perfect for exploring Chelsea and features beautiful city views and a great rooftop bar.

Mayfair Hotel (Ascend Collection)

New York City truly rewards travelers who want to find the perfect points stay, no matter what their hotel and location preferences might be. Whatever bank you earn points with, there’s a perfect hotel waiting among hundreds of points-friendly stays.
Check your balances, watch for transfer bonuses, and get ready to experience New York City without the hefty price tag. Your next adventure is just one or two transfers away.
