Booking flights and hotels gets all the attention when you’re planning a trip, but getting to and from the airport can be a budget-buster in its own right. Bilt’s latest partnership adds another transportation option for members, this time with premium chauffeur service through Blacklane.
Now Bilt members can book Blacklane rides directly through the Bilt Concierge or via Bilt Travel. If you’ve never heard of Blacklane, it’s a premium chauffeur service that offers pre-booked airport transfers, city rides and hourly bookings in hundreds of destinations worldwide.
You can pay with Bilt Points, Bilt Cash, a linked credit card, or mix and match payment methods at checkout. And if you have a Bilt credit card, paying with it is an easy way to earn even more Bilt Points on your ride.
Bilt is also introducing a new annual Blacklane credit that members can redeem using Bilt Cash. The amount you’ll get depends on your Bilt status: Blue and Silver members get up to $50; Gold members receive up to $100; and Platinum members receive up to $150.
Once you’ve redeemed your annual credit, you’ll be eligible for a new one when the calendar resets each January.
Realistically, don’t expect the $50 credit for Blue and Silver members to get you a completely free ride. Blacklane is a premium service, and you’ll generally pay more than you would for a typical rideshare. Still, any credit is better than nothing, especially if you’re already planning to book an airport transfer or want to splurge on a special occasion. Platinum members get the most compelling value with up to $150 each calendar year.
Blacklane probably isn’t going to replace your everyday Uber, but it can be a nice option when you want a little extra comfort, especially for airport transfers or special occasions. If you’re already a Bilt member, this partnership gives you another way to earn and use your points, which is always a positive.
