Chase is rolling out a new elevated redemption opportunity. It can stretch your Ultimate Rewards® points even further, but only if you’re booking high-end stays through its curated hotel program.
Through Chase Travel℠, cardholders can get up to a 2.5x redemption rate with Chase’s Points Boost on select stays within The Edit, Chase’s special collection of luxury hotels.
The catch? Only a small handful of hotels qualify.
At this rate, 10,000 Ultimate Rewards® will cover $250 in hotel costs. That’s a noticeable increase compared to the typical 1.25 cents per point with the Chase Sapphire Preferred® or 1.5 cents per point with the Chase Sapphire Reserve® through Chase Travel. But not all bookings qualify for the full 2.5x Points Boost rate.
This elevated rate applies only to a subset of properties within The Edit, not to the full Chase Travel℠ portal.
The Edit is Chase’s collection of higher-end hotels and resorts. When you book a property through The Edit, you’ll automatically get perks and benefits like daily breakfast, property credits, and room upgrades.
A few examples of participating properties include:
This kind of offer can make portal bookings more competitive compared to transferring points to hotel partners—at least in the right scenario. For example, if you’re booking a stay where award availability is limited or the cash rates are high, these boosted redemption rates are an easy win. Plus, you won’t need to navigate transfer partners or award charts.
It’s always still worth comparing your options. Transferring Ultimate Rewards® to partners like World of Hyatt can yield incredible value, especially for high-end redemptions. And since this promo is limited to select properties, you may not always find a participating hotel that fits your plans.
This is a solid, easy-to-use boost if your travel lines up with the eligible properties. Just don’t automatically assume it’s the best deal across the board.
As always, a quick comparison between portal pricing and transfer partner redemptions is a sure way to make sure you’re getting the most value.
